🎄Day 1 - the FunCon 1 Opening Ceremony!
Every convention starts with an opening ceremony to meet the committee, hear about the exciting things planned for the weekend, and set the tone for the convention. FunCon 1: Space Leopards Probably Won't Eat Your Face kicked off with our Chair and chief Space Leopard, Heidi, being rudely awoken from her 18 hour nap to inform convention members that they had been split into two teams - the Space Leopards and the Armidillos - who would compete at various taskmaster-style tasks across the weekend, and to hand out prizes to our 100th member, Maggie, and winner of our "name the mascot" competition, @Marguerite , who named "Purry Gagarin", our mascot who was expertly crocheted by @SarahHaddock.
